r6c1 can't be a 9 as it would make both r5c6 and r7c6 a 2.

It's an interesting question, in a way it makes a puzzle harder if you cannot use DP techniques. However it makes a lot more sense to have a single solution. To truly answer a double solution puzzle y ...

The whole X-Wing crumbles once you figure out that the only 2's left in box 7 are in row 7.

I presume that is a medium technique?
