Here's something that is probably a bit different. You can solve this by attacking <4>. After basics:
Code:
+-------------+-------------+-------------+
| 46  1   7   | 346 34  8   | 59  2   59  |
| 5   38  38  | 7   9   2   | 6   1   4   |
| 2   49  469a| 5   1   46b | 3   7   8   |
+-------------+-------------+-------------+
| 46  35  35  | 9   46  7   | 1   8   2   |
| 9   48  1   | 48  2   5   | 7   3   6   |
| 7   2   68  | 1   68  3   | 4   59  59  |
+-------------+-------------+-------------+
| 1   459 2   | 346 345 46b | 8   569 7   |
| 3   7   45a |-468 -458 9  | 2   56  1   |
| 8   6   59  | 2   7   1   | 59  4   3   |
+-------------+-------------+-------------+

The skyscraper aa and bb takes out two <4>'s as shown, leading to:
Code:
+-------------+-------------+-------------+
| 46  1   7   | 346 34  8   | 59  2   59  |
| 5   38  38  | 7   9   2   | 6   1   4   |
| 2   49c 69  | 5   1   46b | 3   7   8   |
+-------------+-------------+-------------+
| 46  35  35  | 9   46f 7   | 1   8   2   |
| 9   48d 1   | 48e 2   5   | 7   3   6   |
| 7   2   68  | 1   68  3   | 4   59  59  |
+-------------+-------------+-------------+
| 1   59  2   | 346 3-45 46a| 8   569 7   |
| 3   7   4   | 68  58  9   | 2   56  1   |
| 8   6   59  | 2   7   1   | 59  4   3   |
+-------------+-------------+-------------+

First, note the hidden (Type 6) UR <34>. R7C4 cannot be <4>, for that forces a Deadly Pattern in R17C45. Then, coloring on <4> abcdef takes out <4> in R7C5. Cell a must be <4> (in R7), and the puzzle is solved.

Norm,

Thank you! I don't know what other solution paths there are, but it is rare to see a Type-6 UR that helps to nail a puzzle.
