Two obvious single-step solutions. Take your pick.
Solutions: UR 48 or UR 29

I tried a non-UR solution. An X-Wing on 4 set up a puzzle-ending W-Wing on 89. |

This should be saved for VH Sudokus 101. There are two Type 1 UR's, x-wings on 4, colouring on 8, an ER on 9 and a Skyscraper on 9. |

All I needed was a 498 xy-wing to solve this one. |

I found this one very tricky...I can spot and solve x wings, xy's and xyz but I don't know what you call the 29,29,29, 296. I figured it out but not sure what it is called. |

Swando,
It's called a Type 1 Unique Rectangle (UR). You can read more about URs here:

| 1 589 589 | 3 49 7 | 2 6 48 |
+------------+-----------+-----------+
| 35 4 59 | 8 2 39 | 6 7 1 |
| 7 1 2 | 6 49 5 | 489 3 48 |
| 38 89 6 | 1 7 349 | 49 5 2 |
