This is a relatively easy puzzle, but I'm missing a tree for the forrest.

The "hint" feature tells me that R2C9 is a 2, but I can't figure out what eliminates the 9. This was the daily newspaper puzzle last Friday, and it should not require any advanced techniques.

small hint.
see if you can tell which cells the 2 and the 5 can exist in column 2 or box 4.
