A very nice VH puzzle. I am not sure what was required, but my five steps were Quote: | Remote pair 35,
xyz-wing 237,
ER 3,
Kite 5,
Bug+2 forces r5c3=3.

Impressive use of a chain Norm. I performed a forcing net.
Code: | BUG+2
[r5c7]=7 => [r5c9]=2 => [r7c9]=3 => [r9c9]<>3
[r8c9]=3 => [r9c9]<>3
+-----------------------------------------------------+
| 5 1 9 | 4 6 2 | 78 3 78 |
| 2 8 4 | 7 9 3 | 5 6 1 |
| 3 7 6 | 5 8 1 | 29 29 4 |
|-----------------+-----------------+-----------------|
| 7 2 1 | 8 3 6 | 4 5 9 |
| 6 4 35 | 9 1 57 | 23+7 8 27 |
| 9 35 8 | 2 57 4 | 37 1 6 |
|-----------------+-----------------+-----------------|
| 18 9 7 | 13 45 58 | 6 24 23 |
| 4 6 35 | 13 2 9 | 18 7 58+3 |
| 18 35 2 | 6 47 78 | 19 49 5-3 |

X-Wing (8), Remote Pairs (35), XYZ (237), ERs (3, 5) and BUG+2. It's all the same, but I saw the BUG as if r8c9=3, then r5c9=7, forcing r5c6<>7. |
