1...type 1 UR{37} removes 37 from r9c9
2... (5=8)r9c7 - (8)r7c89 = (8)r7c2 - (8=5)r4c2 - (5)r4c8 = (5)r5c8 - (5)r5c6 = (5)r6c5; r9c5 <> 5
3...(4=8)r9c5 - (8)r6c5 = (8)r6c12 - (8=5)r4c2 - (5)r4c8 = (5-4)r5c8 = (4)r7c8; r9c9 <> 4 |

It had all of the symptoms of CTS, and that's how I treated it. It hurt like the devil for three days ... but Ibuprofen and ice packs finally helped ease the swelling and take the pressure off of the nerves.
There's a small tingle left in my hand, so I only type for short periods. Fortunately, the good hand is the one that works the mouse and allows me to stick my nose into the forums and keep up on what's happening. You'd be surprised how much can be done with Copy & Paste.
I have a large re-write on my chains routine planned; but, so far, all I've done is make notes and edit a few lines of my UR routines. I did manage to get a couple of puzzles posted. Upon review, this one is more difficult than I expected.
Thanks for asking!!!

Great to have you back Danny. Go easy for awhile so things will be ok in the long run.
I thought this puzzle was wonderful. It took me six steps.
Type 1 UR 37, which opened up a
Sashimi x-wing 8 in r58c69, then a
xy-wing 58-4 with pivot 58 in r4c2 and pseudo-cell 45 in box6, which opened up a
xy-wing 28-6 with pivot 28 in r7c9 and pseudo-cell 68 in col8, and after cleanup a
x-wing 8 in r47c28, and finally a
BUG+1 sets r8c5=8 to finish the puzzle.

I started with a W-Wing on 48, then a Hidden UR on 56, followed by the Type 4 UR on 37. Then a Mixed W-Wing set up a puzzle-ending kite on 8. |
