Laughing Laughing Laughing

Jim, I had two things going against my taking a reasonable rest period.

1) My brother and uncle are inactive USA Marines, and they are always telling me that, "Pain is weakness leaving your body." I couldn't get any sympathy from them! Very Happy

2) I was born in Missouri (USA) where the state motto is the Show Me state and the mule is the state mascot. I'm too stubborn to do what's good for me. Very Happy

As long as I had one good hand, I was going to be sticking my nose into the forums. Very Happy

Regards, Danny

Another one step solution is
Quote:
using the UR 56 in r24c12. To force a single solution, either r2c1=9 or r2c2=3; following the implications of both conditions sets r1c3=5 and completes the puzzle.

As a chain: (9=6)r7c3 - (6=5)r8c3 - (5)r8c9 = (5)r9c7 - (5=3)r2c7 - UR56[(3)r2c2 = (9)r2c1]; r1c3<>1.
