| 2 5 9 | 4 8 3 | 7 6 1 |
| 7 48 6 | 1 2 5 | 348 9 34 |
|----------------+----------------+----------------|
| 45 9 8 | 2 6 1 | 45 3 7 |
| 3 1 7 | 5 4 9 | 6 2 8 |
| 6 2 45 | 3 7 8 | 19 14 459 |
|----------------+----------------+----------------|
| 458 6 345 | 89 35 247 | 129 147 49 |
| 9 47 2 | 6 1 47 | 35 8 35 |
| 1 478 35 | 89 35 247 | 29 47 6 |

My grid had 345 in r9c3, so the one-stepper was a Type 2 UR on 35-4. |

Another one step solution is the UR47.
Code: | *--------------------------------------------------*
|b48 3 1 | 7 9 6 |c48 5 2 |
| 2 5 9 | 4 8 3 | 7 6 1 |
| 7 a48 6 | 1 2 5 | 348 9 34 |
|----------------+----------------+----------------|
| 45 9 8 | 2 6 1 |-45 3 7 |
| 3 1 7 | 5 4 9 | 6 2 8 |
| 6 2 45 | 3 7 8 | 19 z14 459 |
|----------------+----------------+----------------|
| 458 6 345 | 89 35 x27 | 12 y17 49 |
| 9 @47 2 | 6 1 @47 | 35 8 35 |
| 1 @478 35 | 89 35 @247 | 29 47 6 |
*--------------------------------------------------*
|
UR47 marked @ is in r89c26. To prevent the deadly pattern, either r9c2=8 or r9c6=2.
(8)r9c2 - (8=4)r3c2 - (4)r1c1 = (4)r1c7 (marked a,b,c)
or
(2)r9c6 - (2=7)r7c6 - (7=1)r7c8 - (1=4)r6c8 (marked x,y,z)
These two pincers delete the 4 in r4c7 to complete the puzzle.

Just looking at Ted's grid, the 4 is removed from r9c6 when using the UR as a hidden. After the eliminations therefrom, multicoloring on 4 takes out the 4 from r9c2 and completes the puzzle. |
