Easy for you to say. Laughing

This was the classic BBDB for me. Using my typical scattershot approach and playing any move I saw, I made eight moves, plus three pincer transports from those moves, before a BUG+1 put me out of my misery.

But, I had an hour to kill and this filled the time.

Will, as often happens, there be another post telling how it was an easy one-stepper? Embarassed

the above extended w-wing {1,7} eliminates the 7's in r78c6
but notice the part in red is a skyscraper that also eliminates the 1 in r6c5
(7=1)r3c6 - (1)r1c5 = (1)r1c3 - (1)r4c3 = (1)r4c4 - (1=7)r9c4

Code:
+--------------------+---------------+------------+
| 8     6      (14)  | 2  147   5    | 479  79  3 |
| 27    5      234   | 9  347   8    | 47   6   1 |

| 12    3      12    | 8  79    6    | 79   5   4 |

| 39    2      5     | 4  6     39   | 8    1   7 |
| 4     (18)   189   | 7  19    2    | 6    3   5 |
+--------------------+---------------+------------+

there is a finned x-wing on 1's in columns 2 and 6, this eliminates the 1 from r7c1 already.

[x-wing(1)r37c26] = (1)r9c2

but just a little extension off the fin in r9c2 eliminates the 1's in r3c13 as well

[x-wing(1)r37c26] = (1-8)r9c2 = (8-4)r5c2 = (4)r3c2 - (4=1)r1c3

See ... Monday puzzles are always too easy!

Three steps ... including an ornery <147> XYZ-Wing. Twisted Evil

Basics, Norm's finned X-Wing, Norm's Skyscraper, basics, XYZ-Wing, and basics to finish.

All advanced steps perform eliminations in <1> until [r6c1]=1 is left as a Hidden Single in [c1].

I started with the skyscraper on 1,
Remote Pair 79 deletes 7 in r1c5,
xy-wing -137 plus some transports,
coloring on 1,
xy-wing -147 completes the puzzle.

A fun puzzle with multiple options mostly involving the digit 1.
