I know that some players don't like the "thread-method". Why I don't understand as it the most efficient way to solve a puzzle. As there normally are many "two-of-a-kind" on a row, column or block, the trick is to find out - through pure observations - which alternative can be the most prosperous. Then I follow the two possibilities simulaneously and very soon can find out "a must be" or "a can't be" and so it goes on.
In this puzzle the choise is between "5" in r1c2 or r1c9. The later one is correct and makes it a one stepper. |
