This puzzle probably qualifies as extremely difficult. Unless someone says they're still working on it, I'm going to delete this thread and treat it as a mistake.

Hi Danny, I found a type 1 UR on 35 and then hit the wall. I fear it's beyond me! |

Is this named after the sauce or the music?
Actually, I found this to be a very enjoyable BBDB. I used 10 moves, some of which may not have been necessary, but none of which were anything outside of an ordinary arsenal.
Remote Pairs (35), ERs (2,2), two simple colorings (3,3), flightless W-Wing (35) with pincer transport, XY-Wing (395), XY-Wing (375), W-Wing (28) and XYZ-Wing (239). |

Congratulations Marty on cracking this puzzle
I haven't used Salsa in the title since April of last year. I chose it because of my memories of having Mexican food in "Old Town" Albuquerque, New Mexico many years past. The plates there had to have asbestos liners -- even the salsa. |

Flightless W-Wings with pincer transports are outside of my arsenal. So far I have used 5 ERs and several xyz and xy wings plus a huge number of eliminations with colouring on <5>. I am almost there - one triple and one quad left. But the coup-de-grace is elusive.
Happy Family Day. |

You don't need anthing flightless/extended/pseudo-anything on this puzzles. But it's okay if you use them.
Since you're past the XYZ-Wing(s) in the middle of the solution, then you're probably missing the final W-Wing.
I'll post my solver's solution tomorrow, unless someone asks me to hold off. |

I only take W-wings out the arsenal in extreme emergencies. But still can't see the finish. Maybe I erred up on the way.

Thank you
By my reckoning that was 15 steps but as Frank and the King said:
"I did it my way."

Craig, Unless there's an error in your grid, there are eliminations to be made based on the 4 in r7c9. |

How about the potential DP 35-37-57 in boxes 789? R8c7 must be 8 or 9, combining with r8c9 to make an 89 naked pair. |
