I also cheated and did not stick to VH+ only moves.

UR18 r78c24 forces pseudocell 49 in r78c4 thereby forming an ALS with 469 in r1c4
ALS469[(9)r18c4 = (6)r1c4]r178c4 - (6=7)r3c5 -(7=9)r8c5; r9c4<>9

xy-chain: (8=7)r6c3 - r6c2 = r3c2 - (7=6)r3c5 - (6=9)r6c5 - (9=8)r4c6; r6c4<>8

Looking again at the UR18 in r78c24, the 49 pseudocell in r78c2 forms a subset 479 when combined with the 79 in r8c5 and 479 in r9c6 thereby deleting 4 in r9c4

Coloring on 6 completes the puzzle.

Ted

P.S. While preparing this post I realized the steps one and three were not required to solve the puzzle, but I enjoyed both.

There are at least four openings for successful one-stepper threads.
