m-ring
(7=3)r9c2 - (3)r9c4 = (3-7)r7c4 = (7)r7c12
r9c1 <> 3,7
r7c4 <> 9

xy-wing {2,5,9} finishes removes 9 from r46c3 and r7c1

I used an X-Wing (5), ER (9) and XY-Wing (259).

I don't know what an M-Ring is. I can see how the 37 M-Wing eliminates the 3 from r9c1, but not the rest.

An M-Ring is an M-Wing where the chain also forms a continuous loop. Strmckr provides a reference here. Because it's a continuous loop, additional eliminations are possible -- especially in the third cell of the chain because the loop always forced it to be a bivalue. This explains Norm's elimination r7c4<>9.

The continuous loop occurs in the green link that I added to Norm's chain.

(7=3)r9c2 - (3)r9c4 = (3-7)r7c4 = (7)r7c12 - (7)r9c2

Regards, Danny
