Maybe it wasn't the same. I forgot to mention that mine was flightless and used a pincer transport. |

Sometimes I don't see things that are right in front of me. I used r1c9 and r9c1, then transported the 2 from r9c1 to r7c8. |

A different solution is the hidden pair 12 in r1c89; either r1c89=12 or r1c8=8.
(12)r1c89 = (8)r1c8 - (8=6)r1c2 - (6=9)r4c2 - (9=1)r4c8 - r7c8 = r9c7; r1c7<>1 to complete the puzzle in one step.

There are 30!! two-of-a- kind boxes where one can start and make a one stepper thread of this puzzle. Only the 45's in r7c2 and r9c2 and r9c5 will lead to a dead end. |
