Three steps...............

Quote:
xyz-wing (345)r6c2; r6c1<>4 which opens up an

AXY-wing 3-48 vertex (38)r6c1, pincers (48)r1c1 & (34)r6c9 with fin (3)r1c1
If xy-wing is true; r1c9<>4
If fin is true: (3)r1c1-r2c2=r6c2-(3=4)r6c9; r1c9<>4 which opens up a

Kraken cell (348)r2c3
(3)r2c3-(3=4)r2c2; r1c1<>4
(4)r2c3; r1c1<>4
(8)r2c3-(8=4)r4c3-r5c2=(4)r2c2; r1c1<>4

I got seriously bogged down looking at the UR(45) - but it yielded a one-stepper

Code:
Consider UR(45) r56c24 either r6c2=3 or r6c4=8.
Assume r6c4<>8, then I convinced myself (!) this leads to r6c4=8.
r6c4<>8 -- r6c2=3 -- r2c2=4           -- r1c1=8 -- r6c1<>8 -- r6c4=8
                  -- r6c9=4 -- r1c9=3

(Edit. I need some forum formatting lessons!)
I then did it "properly" using four steps..

Quote:
skyscraper(3);
xyz-wing(35-4) r6c2;
xy-wing(48-3) r1c1;
type 1 UR(45)

Another case where I found I missed some basics after a few moves.

UR 45 makes a couple of deletions
ER (8)
XYZ-Wing (345)
X-Wing (3)
Type 1 UR (45)
