x-wing 6

and the puzzle is solved. |

A somewhat smaller pattern ...

It was harder for me than I thought - lots of bivalues but not so easy to crack!
Norm, Ron, nice Kraken Col - I occasionally stumble on these looking at AALS type moves, but generally not! (BTW Typo <>2 to <>6 in your x-wing step)
I've taken liberties with my s-wing move below - not a "cyclops" but a full two eyes!
Code: | #1 x-wing(6) ; r2c267<>6, r8c26<>6
#2 xy-wing(16-4) r3c9 ; r1c6<>4
*-----------------------------------------------------------*
| 7 5 1 | 8 2 36 | 46 34 9 |
| 9 24 2(6) | 1347 1346 1347 | (15) 35-1 8 |
| 3 4(6) 8 | 14 9 5 | 7 2 (16) |
|-------------------+-------------------+-------------------|
| 6 78 35 | 1347 134 9 | 128-5 15 25 |
| 1 9 4 | 5 8 2 | 3 6 7 |
| 2 78 35 | 6 13 137 | 18-5 9 4 |
|-------------------+-------------------+-------------------|
| 5 3 9 | 2 7 8 | 46 14 16 |
| 8 1-2 (26) | 9 1346 134 | (25) 7 35-2 |
| 4 126 7 | 13 5 136 | 9 8 23 |
*-----------------------------------------------------------*
#3 loop ; (5=1)r2c7 - (1=6)r3c9 - r3c2=r2c3 - (6=2)r8c3 - (2=5)r8c7 - loop ; r2c8<>1, r8c29<>2, r46c7<>5
*------------------------------------------------------------*
| 7 5 1 | 8 2 (6)-3 | 46 34 9 |
| 9 24 26 | 1(3)47 1346 1347 | 15 35 8 |
| 3 46 8 | 14 9 5 | 7 2 16 |
|-------------------+--------------------+-------------------|
| 6 78 3 | 147 14 9 | 128 15 25 |
| 1 9 4 | 5 8 2 | 3 6 7 |
| 2 78 5 | 6 13 137 | 18 9 4 |
|-------------------+--------------------+-------------------|
| 5 3 9 | 2 7 8 | 46 14 16 |
| 8 1 26 | 9 346 34 | 25 7 35 |
| 4 (26) 7 | 1(3) 5 13(6) | 9 8 (23) |
*------------------------------------------------------------*
#4 s-wing with "pseudocell" hinge ; (3)r2c4=r9c4 - (3=2)r9c9-(2=6)r9c2 - (6)r9c6=r1c6 ; r1c6<>3 |

that is exactly how I find them. I look for AICs which would be complete except for... blah blah... etc etc.... then go from there. |
