One of those "simple" moves........

After basics

Code:
*-----------------------------------------------------------*
 | 2     6     79    | 137   47    347   | 89    1589  589   |
 | 4     8     1     | 6     9     5     | 3     7     2     |
 | 3     79    5     | 127   27    8     | 4     19    6     |
 |-------------------+-------------------+-------------------|
 | 5     3     4     | 9     8     1     | 6     2     7     |
 | 79    2     6     | 5     3     47    | 1     89    489   |
 | 79    1     8     | 27    247   6     | 5     3     49    |
 |-------------------+-------------------+-------------------|
 | 8     79    3     | 4     5     79    | 2     6     1     |
 | 6     4     2     | 38    1     39    | 7     589   589   |
 | 1     5     79    | 78    6     2     | 89    4     3     |
 *-----------------------------------------------------------*

I had a similar solution:

Quote:
A type 6 UR solves R3C5, R6C4 as 2. A skyscraper on 7 solves R3C4 as 1.

The last elimination can also be deduced from the 58 UR.

A simpler "simple" move...? Wink
Code:
xy-wing(18-9) with als pivot ; (9=1)r3c8 - als(1278)r369c4[(1)r3c4=(8)r9c4] - (8=9)r9c7 ; r1c7<>9, r8c8<>9

R3c4 can be solved =1 by a Finned X-Wing on 7 which overlaps the Type 6.

and just to compliment your xy-wing with als.
here is a xy-wing with UR pivot (doesn't solve puzzle)

Code:
+------------+-------------------+----------------+
| 2   6   79 | 137    47     347 | 89  1589  58-9 |
| 4   8   1  | 6      9      5   | 3   7     2    |
| 3   79  5  | (127)  (27)   8   | 4   (19)  6    |
+------------+-------------------+----------------+
| 5   3   4  | 9      8      1   | 6   2     7    |
| 79  2   6  | 5      3      47  | 1   8-9   489  |
| 79  1   8  | (27)   (247)  6   | 5   3     (49) |
+------------+-------------------+----------------+
| 8   79  3  | 4      5      79  | 2   6     1    |
| 6   4   2  | 38     1      39  | 7   589   589  |
| 1   5   79 | 78     6      2   | 89  4     3    |
+------------+-------------------+----------------+

(9=1)r3c8 - UR27[(1)r3c4 = (4)r6c5] - (4=9)r6c9; r5c8 and r1c9 <> 9
