Dan, I tried this puzzle and couldn't do a thing with it. As usual, I can't follow the notation and don't see where r9c5 enters into the equation. However, I can see if r7c4<>6, then r8c6=9 which forces r5c6=6, making the eliminations shown.

r9c5 has a strong link on 6 to r7c4 and a strong link on 4 to r8c6 and is a link in the chain making the 6 pinchers.
