"Is this the simplest after-basics VH diagram ever?"
It's the simplest I've ever seen. Surely it must be the simplest possible, or close to it, that still needs a "very hard" technique.
Amazing. |

examples have been seen where only 11 cells remain unsolved
here's one from Ruud (2006.Feb.11)
( 2nd puzzle in his post ) Code: |
. . . | 1 . . | 9 8 .
4 . . | . 5 2 | 6 . .
. . . | . . . | . 1 .
-------+-------+------
9 . . | . 4 . | . 3 .
. 7 . | . . . | . 9 .
. 6 . | . 8 . | . . 2
-------+-------+------
. 1 . | . . . | . . .
. . 9 | 8 2 . | . . 7
. 4 3 | . . 5 | . . .
|
24 cells given + 46 "singles" = 70 cells known --
