What do you think of the NFL's challenge rule?

1) Type 3 UR 58 in boxes 79. A 1 or a 6 kills it. The 1 proves a 6 in r1c1 and with a transport from r8c7 to r5c9, r5c1<>6
2) Eight-cell Bug-Lite on 68 with all three killers leading to a 6 which eliminated a 6 that saw all three, but I didn't pursue it after I couldn't make it a one-stepper |

It's stupid. Anyone who thinks otherwise deserves a kick in the groin.
After basics:
Code: | +----------------+----------------+----------------+
| 16 3 26 | 4 7 9 | 18 5 28 |
| 179 17 B29 | 68 68 5 |1-3 4 A23 |
| 4 5 8 | 2 1 3 | 7 6 9 |
+----------------+----------------+----------------+

| 36 78 5 | 1 2 4 | 9 78 36 |
| 678 4 1 | 9 3 68 | 2 78 5 |
+----------------+----------------+----------------+
| 2 9 7 | 5 68 68 | 4 3 1 |
| 158 18 3 | 7 4 2 | 568 9 68 |
| 58 6 4 | 3 9 1 | 58 2 7 |
+----------------+----------------+----------------+ |
AD are pincers on 3.
Marty, I am pretty sure someone will call this a wing of some flavor.

agree with keith,
when the game is being decided off the field in some mystery replay booth, and not being decided by the 22 players laying it on the line every week, then we know the game has problems.
oh and I like marty's AUR.
anyways, everyone was complaining about how bad the substitute refs were while the strike was on. This provided a much wanted distraction so the league wouldn't have to answer to some of the other problems. but not so fast. NFL challenge rule front and center. |

After checking the replay. It has four strong links and a wing has three..
Looks like an xy-chain. |

They'll change the rule for sure, but unfortunately for Keith, they won't make it retroactive. |

The thing I like about Menneskes of this level is they have may options. Here's how I actually solved it. After basics:
Code: | +----------------+----------------+----------------+
| 16 3 26 | 4 7 9 | 18 5 28 |
| 179 17 29 | 68 68 5 | 13 4 23 |
| 4 5 8 | 2 1 3 | 7 6 9 |
+----------------+----------------+----------------+
| 3689 2 69 |B68 5 7 |#36 1 4 |
| 36 D78 5 | 1 2 4 | 9 E78 #36 |
| 678 4 1 | 9 3 6-8 | 2 F78 5 |
+----------------+----------------+----------------+
| 2 9 7 | 5 68 68 | 4 3 1 |
| 158 C18 3 | 7 4 2 | 568 9 A68 |
| 58 6 4 | 3 9 1 | 58 2 7 |
+----------------+----------------+----------------+ |
There is a Type 4 UR in R89. Also, AB are W-wing pincers on 8. With transport CDEF, it takes out 8 in R6C6.
Code: | +-------------+-------------+-------------+
| 16 3 26 | 4 7 9 | 18 5 28 |
| 179 17 29 | 6 8 5 | 13 4 23 |
| 4 5 8 | 2 1 3 | 7 6 9 |
+-------------+-------------+-------------+
| 369 2 69 | 8 5 7 | 36 1 4 |
| 36 78 5 | 1 2 4 | 9 78 36 |
| 78 4 1 | 9 3 6 | 2 78 5 |
+-------------+-------------+-------------+
| 2 9 7 | 5 6 8 | 4 3 1 |
| 15 18 3 | 7 4 2 | 56 9 68 |
| 58 6 4 | 3 9 1 | 58 2 7 |
+-------------+-------------+-------------+ | BUG+2 forms a pseudocell 16 in C1, solving R8C1 as 5.

Thanks. I don't think it's that clever, but when solving these puzzles with pencil & paper, interesting things do come up.

In the NFL, one can no longer say that someone "deserves a kick in the groin." Correct these days is, someone "deserves a Ndamukong." |

I should have said, "Anyone who thinks otherwise deserves to get Suh'd."
