Don't you just hate it when you don't see something simple like that? I used a W wing 23 in boxes 1 & 7 to remove the 2 in R3C3 |

Me too (missed the row 7 3 at first).
I also missed a similar elimination of a 9 at the top. In fact, at first I went with a harder method: an x wing of 9s!
But eventually I found that lovely, simple xy wing, no need for a preparatory x wing. |
