I found the following chain: (7=1)r9c5-r2c5=r3c6-r3c9=r7c9-(1=7)r7c7 => r7c4<>7 solves it.

He meant '-7r7c4' Marty. He used the same cells and numbers that I used in my chain. His idea is that either r2c5 or r2c7 is a 1 and if r2c5 is a 1, then r9c5 is a 7 and if r2c7 is 1, then r7c7 is a 7 so r7c4 cannot be 7!

Good idea. I think notation is not needed for XY, XYZ and W-Wings and Skyscrapers. Maybe use it for pincer transports.

Well, for XY-wings we have the long-established XY-Z.

For example, XY, (pivot in) R1C5 16-4.
