Clement's Final wing needs the 5 to be removed from r7c8
Proving that this cell is not 5 can be done thus - if it were 5 then the 28 in cells r78c9 give cell r3c9 desolate. However this type of logic is not usual for a VH problem. |

No, that's not right George. The 5 gets removed from r7c8 with just Clement's wings and basics. Clement's initial grid has a hidden 36 pair in row 3 so r3c12 = 36. Then his X Wing removes 1 from r3c59 and r8c9. The 34-1 XY Wing removes 1 from r7c5 which leaves a lone 1 in column 5 so r4c5=1 which means r5c6<>1 so it's 3 and r4c3<>1 so it's 4 so r5c2<>4 so it's 6 so r3c2<>6 so it's 3 so r7c2<>3 so it's 5 so r7c8<>5. |
