Your use of the wing Clement sets r9c6 to not 6 But the wing at r4c6 can be extended (by 56s) to r2c4 so r3c5 becomes 9 and thereafter solution is easy

What wing is that, George? (I'm still looking).

356 and the result of the extension is exactly the same as Clement's solution
since the 6''s confined to col 5 in box 8 give the same solution i.e r3c5=9

George, I'm sorry, I'm just not understanding. In your first post you mentioned a wing at r4c6. I don't know what that means, At r4c6. I don't see anything there. In your 2nd post you entered "W-Wing solution" in the subject line and I can't find a W-Wing and I don't know what you mean by "356 and the result of the extension".

The only thing I can find in wings is a 35-6 XY-Wing pivoted at r8c6 which => -6r9c6. I don't know if that elimination does anything. If it doesn't we can do a pincer transport of the 6 from r4c6 to r2c1 which => -6r3c5.

Finally, I don't understand "6s confined to col 5 in box 8" since there is a 6 in r9c6.

P.S. Looking again at Clement's post, he is saying that his elimination at r9c6 solves the puzzle, thus no transport is necessary.

The 356 is exactly the same as clement's except it can be extended since if r4c6 is 6 then r2c4 is 6 so the xy wing (with extension) takes out all the 6 in col4 of box 2

Eliminating 6 in r9c6 confines the 6's in BOX 8 in col 5 setting r3c5 to 9 and r2c5 to 5 which goes on solving the puzzle with singles to the end(stte).
