I think I solved it with just basics. Unless I screwed up there was a naked 246 in r148c4 to get to the following grid.
Code: | +-----------------+--------------+---------------+
| 1248 5 7 | 24 9 6 | 128 1238 13 |
| 248 6 2348 | 1 37 24 | 2789 5 79 |
| 9 12 23 | 8 37 5 | 6 127 4 |
+-----------------+--------------+---------------+
| 7 28 28 | 46 46 1 | 3 9 5 |
| 6 3 1 | 579 25 29 | 4 27 8 |
| 5 4 9 | 37 8 23 | 127 127 6 |
+-----------------+--------------+---------------+
| 3 17 6 | 59 45 8 | 179 147 2 |
| 124 9 5 | 246 246 7 | 18 1348 13 |
| 248 278 248 | 39 1 2349 | 5 6 79 |
+-----------------+--------------+---------------+
|
And then a naked 127 in r356c8 which solved it. |

Thanks Clement! Well now we clearly know where Sam's bug lies! He's obviously not exhausting all possible basic moves before also examining advanced moves. You can't do that when you're rating the difficulty of a puzzle Sam! (And this guy Sam is supposedly a 'genius'? If he's a genius, my Dad was Einstein!) |
