Wow! What a mess I came up with! Let me know if my logic is not right!
Thanks, Don.

The logic looks ok, dongrave. I went with a skyscraper and some other things, which took more steps.

Hi Immp! Did you keep track of your steps? If so, I'd love to see them! Thanks, Don.

Unfortunately I didn't keep a track list. I solve with pencil (and eraser) and paper, so I just make the eliminations as I identify them. And I make plenty of mistakes doing that...mostly when I am rinsing or re-applying basics after an elimination. And then there are the number of steps involved. As stated, I needed several, so I would be copying and pasting for some time with the many puzzle stages I had before me. Too much like work LOL...sorry about that.

cheers...immp

You're a pencil and paper solver too? So am I! Some of my new technology friends tried to talk me into using an app on a smartphone - and showed me theirs - but I guess that would mean I'd have to get a smartphone? No thanks...

Yeah, there's actually an app that's pretty good for the phone. I think it's called Classic Sudoku. Their "expert" puzzles can be a good challenge at times. I was quite pleasantly surprised. I will occasionally do one, which is about once every two weeks or so. It gets old having to work with small keys and small numbers, and even smaller pencil marks, on a small grid. That's why I prefer to just print puzzles out and use my pencil. I can fit 2 puzzles per side of an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper. That's room for 4 puzzles, and I'm comfortable with that size. One could make them even larger, if needed, but that would take up more room; probably only 1 puzzle per side. My eyes aren't that bad...YET! LOL I like doing puzzles with P&P. You can do a puzzle leisurely and even put it down if you like, and come back to it later. One nice thing about most apps though, they usually make eliminations to affected cell's pencil marks automatically as you enter cell solutions...which can help greatly. I am guilty of not rinsing and updating well at times and I've had to retrace many times due to my poor cleanup skills. I don't know how it happens, but it does.....I get too impatient to solve and then I also get sloppy...LOL.

sorry for the long post...cheers...immp
