This one is fast, unless you get stuck finding the one step to solve it: Code: | Puzzle: M853906vh
+-------+-------+-------+
| 2 . . | 7 . . | . . 9 |
| . . 8 | . . . | 7 . . |
| 1 5 7 | . . 2 | 4 6 3 |
+-------+-------+-------+
| . . 6 | . . 3 | 5 . . |
| . . . | . 1 . | . . . |
| . . 5 | 9 . . | 2 . . |
+-------+-------+-------+
| 5 9 2 | 3 . . | 6 1 4 |
| . . 4 | . . . | 3 . . |
| 3 . . | . . 4 | . . 2 |
+-------+-------+-------+ | I have a theory: You know that when you click for a Menneske "Super Hard", you often get a "Very Hard (0)"? My theory is that these are indeed "Super Hard" with a rating of zero, and that they are different than his regular "Very Hard (0)" set. (All puzzles other than Super Hard are rated (0).)
http://www.menneske.no/sudoku/eng/
The reason I say this is that I believe that all his puzzles except "Super Hard" are rated based on the solution techniques they require. Known quantities. Super Hard, on the other hand, he cannot solve. The rating is some measure of how likely a random candidate in any cell is to solve the puzzle (after they cannot be solved by his "Very Hard" techniques?).
Anyway, I recommend you try some of the "Very Hard" puzzles you get when you ask for a "Super Hard". They may indeed be your two cups of tea!

Probably i missed something, because i needed 2 steps:
Code: | *----------------------------------------------*
| 2 46 3 | 7 #456 #56 | 1 8 9 |
| 9 46 8 | 46 3 1 | 7 2 5 |
| 1 5 7 | 8 9 2 | 4 6 3 |
|-------------+------------------+-------------|
| 478 12 6 | 24 478 3 | 5 9 17 |
| 47 23 9 |#245-6 1 #567 | 8 34 67 |
| 478 13 5 | 9 4678 678 | 2 34 167 |
|-------------+------------------+-------------|
| 5 9 2 | 3 78 78 | 6 1 4 |
| 6 7 4 | 1 2 9 | 3 5 8 |
| 3 8 1 |#56 #56 4 | 9 7 2 |
*----------------------------------------------* |
In the DP 56 you can eliminate 6 from r5rc4 due to the strong links for 5.
Then there is a w-wing 56 in r1c6/r9c5 with strong link for 6 in column 4. |

The pincers in the r1c6 - r9c4 W-wing are already linked by the 5's in column 5.
Yes, I know the feeling. Happily, some of the 2005s are now drinkable and are designed to make us feel better.
Salut!

Thx, Steve. I saw the w-wing but did not see that it was useful. Until - now - I saw that 46 in r2c4.
I'll go for one of these 2005s ... |

Ravel,
I looked at the DP for a while and found nothing. Then I saw the <56> W-wing that solves R2C4.
