Since the Freep puzzle was such a walk in the park, try this one from Vanhegan.

(It is not very difficult, but you'll need a full tank of gas!)

				Marty,

I found the "basics" on this one quite tough!. Then it came down to a UR and a swordfish.

I generally don't look for swordfish, probably because I don't know how to search efficiently. Thus, it boils down to too much effort for too little return. |

				After basics, just a (689) xyz-wing.

				| Keith, any idea of a date on this puzzle? Was it 27 November 2009, or an earlier date? |

I had the following grid after basics:

 	  | Code: |

 +-----------+-------------+-------------+

 | 1  67  5  | 378 4   367 | 2   78  9   |

 | 4  8   67 | 2   5   9   | 16  3   17  |

 | 9  2   3  | 178 18  67  | 56  4   578 |

 +-----------+-------------+-------------+

 | 68 469 2  | 5   7   1   | 3   689 468 |

 | 3  56  1  | 89  89  4   | 7   2   56  |

 | 7  45  89 | 6   3   2   | 15  89  145 |

 +-----------+-------------+-------------+

 | 68 1   89 | 37  69  37  | 4   5   2   |

 | 5  3   67 | 4   2   8   | 9   1   67  |

 | 2  679 4  | 19  169 5   | 8   67  3   |

 +-----------+-------------+-------------+

 |

And then I used the same XYZ Wing as Earl which solves it. 689 XYZ Wing with pivot at r4c8 so r4c9<>8. |
