A fun, non-exhausting BBDBer using typical VH & VH+ techniques for a total of 8 steps. Some were surely not necessary.
Quote: | x-wing 9,
xy-wing -269 with vertex in r2c1,
xy-wing 1-26 with vertes in r7c9,
three consecutive w-wings on 28 in cells r5c7, r6c2 & r7c4 with strong links on 2 for all three,
finned x-wing 2,
xy-wing 15-8 with vertex in r5c6.

I used nine moves, including multi-coloring, XYs, X, URs and Finned X-Wing. The last move was an easy BUG+2, with each cell needing the same number, thus they acted as pincers. |

Non-exhausting?! Speak for yourself, Ted! Fun puzzle.
XY 269
XY 126
X 9
XY 269 (again!)
W 29
BUG +1 (259)
Phew, I need a drink! |

Hey, you used fewer steps than either of us. |

When I say BBDB, then my solver used more than four steps.
Code: | r14 X-Wing <> 9 r69c2,r256c7
c14\r57 finned X-Wing <> 2 r5c6
<69+2> XY-Wing r2c1/r2c9+r7c1 <> 2 r7c9
<16+2> XY-Wing r7c9/r7c1+r8c8 <> 2 r8c2
r25c46 <58> UR Type 4 <> 8 r5c46
<15+8> XY-Wing r5c6/r2c6+r5c5 <> 8 r4c6
r57 X-Wing <> 2 r6c4
BUG+1 = 2 r4c2

9 in r5c1 makes it a one stepper |
