Cop hold of this!!
I was clearing out some old files and found this puzzle from 2006 by a Finnish mathematician who claimed he had created the world's hardest sudoku. I probably posted it then - but that was a long time ago.
He called it AI Escargot for some reason.
EDITED NOTE - SORRY I POSTED WRONG PUZZLE - BUT PETERJ HAS PROVIDED THE TRUE ESCARGOT BELOW.  THANKS FOR THAT PJ.
ALSO I CHECKED ON THE NET - IT'S CALLED AN ESCARGOT BECAUSE IT LOOKS LIKE A SNAIL
Good luck - cos that's the only way to finish it

The bad news is that this is not AI Escargot... this is!
