Puzzle 5-1212307, rated 2.4.0.2.
I am hopelessly stuck, having been unable to make a single move.
Code: |
+---------------+--------------+--------------+
| 159 7 4 | 189 2 6 | 589 3 158 |
| 6 3 19 | 1489 14 5 | 289 129 7 |
| 2 8 159 | 3 7 19 | 6 159 4 |
+---------------+--------------+--------------+
| 8 1569 7 | 15 3 4 | 59 1569 2 |
| 15 4 156 | 29 156 29 | 7 8 3 |
| 3 1569 2 | 7 156 8 | 4 1569 156 |
+---------------+--------------+--------------+
| 157 156 3 | 125 9 127 | 258 4 568 |
| 1457 15 8 | 6 145 127 | 3 25 9 |

I wish I was more cleverer. There are TWENTY 1569' s all joined together. That has to lead to a relevant solution. |

wow.
Code: | +-----------------+----------------------+-------------------+
| 159 7 4 | 189 2 6 | 589 3 158 |
| 6 3 19 | 9-14(8) (14) 5 | 9(28) 19(2) 7 |
| 2 8 159 | 3 7 (19) | 6 159 4 |
+-----------------+----------------------+-------------------+
| 8 1569 7 | 15 3 4 | 59 1569 2 |
| 15 4 156 | 29 156 (29) | 7 8 3 |
| 3 1569 2 | 7 156 8 | 4 1569 15 |
+-----------------+----------------------+-------------------+
| 157 156 3 | 125 9 127 | 258 4 568 |
| 1457 15 8 | 6 145 17(2) | 3 5(2) 9 |
| 459 2 569 | 45 8 3 | 1 7 56 |
+-----------------+----------------------+-------------------+ |
#1...(4=1)r2c5 - (1=9)r3c6 - (9=2)r5c6 - (2)r8c6 = (2)r8c8 - (2)r2c8 = (2-8)r2c7 = (8)r2c4; r2c4 <> 1,4
that puts a dent in things.
#2... xy-wing {159} removes 9 from r1c7
Code: | +-----------------+---------------+--------------+
| 159 7 4 | 19 2 6 | 58 3 158 |
| 6 3 19 | 8 4 5 | 2 19 7 |
| 2 8 159 | 3 7 19 | 6 159 4 |
+-----------------+---------------+--------------+
| 8 (56) 7 | 15 3 4 | 9 156 2 |
| 15 4 15-6 | 29 (56) 29 | 7 8 3 |
| 3 9 2 | 7 156 8 | 4 156 15 |
+-----------------+---------------+--------------+
| 7 156 3 | 125 9 12 | 58 4 568 |
| 4 1(5) 8 | 6 1(5) 7 | 3 2 9 |
| 59 2 569 | 4 8 3 | 1 7 56 |
+-----------------+---------------+--------------+ |
#3... w-wing {56} removes 6 from r5c3 |

An alternative opening move is this m-wing using an als or "pseudocell" (49) ...
Code: | m-wing(49) als(41=9)r2c53 - r9c3=(9-4)r9c1=r9c4 ; r2c4<>4, r8c5<>4 |
