Nice one Clement
looking at the 7 in cells r1c127, r7c27, r2c2
finned x-wing with r1c1 as fin removes r2c2
finned x-wing with r2c2 as fin removes r1c1
ER with the 7s in b1 will remove r1c7
All of them leave stte and solve the puzzle
One pattern 3 solutions

Trying this potential DP on 78, which some call BUG Lite. There are five possibilities. The 1s in band 1 set r1c7<>1. The 1s in band 3 set r9c9<>1. So with r1c7 and r9c9=7, r7c7<>7=8. The other possibility is 5 in r2c5 which proves 8 in r8c5; r8c7<>8.
Also a simple W-Wing on 17 with SL 7 in r7; r1c2, r2c8<>1.
Note: the posted grid can be reduced via the 178 triple in r1. |

That's fun in my book! Good one. We're gonna have to count you among the "some" if you keep that up |

Agree, it's fun, but don't hold your breath waiting for me to join the "some" group. I despise the term. |
