Clement, after looking at your after-basics code I see much more basic work that can be done. After a fashion, you end up with a BUG+1 in box 8 which is another 1-stepper solution. Many hiddens in this puzzle. I concur with your XY-wing. I solved it 3 times and got 3 identical results. |

I wouldn't really call that much more basic work. To me it looks like he only missed one of the 2 possible naked pairs in column 2 followed by the lone 3 in row 9 (I think). |
