Basically the same elimination but a little more complicated. I started with r3c3 which established the 2nd pincer in r4c1. I then needed to back up and transport the 7 from r3c3 to r7c7 to get the elimination.

My solution was a trial-and-error chain, starting with a 7 and seeing where it went. However, there's a very close pattern-based solution. Multi-coloring on 7 (Kite hinged in box 1 with one transport.)

7 seems to be the number
Single's chains on 7: (7)r2c8=r2c2-r4c2=r4c1-r7c1=(7)r7c7 => -7r89c8; stte

I just realized my solution gives two eliminations...

Clement,

I took a look at that 1Sudoku.net site. With my (very limited) computer skills, I found the site not easy to navigate. Do you consider the site to be a good source of good puzzles? What puzzle rating do you prefer?

No, few of them do pose a challenge. I prefer the ones rated as evil, which are also just normal. I will look for other sites.
