I think I may have set a record for the longest chain ever posted (but not intentionally; in general I think the shorter the solution, the better!)

Code:
+-------------+---------------+-------------+
| 1   6   29  | 5   49   3    | 24  8   7   |
| 5   4   28  | 7   168  168  | 12  9   3   |
| 7   38  389 | 49  2    18   | 5   16  46  |
+-------------+---------------+-------------+
| 489 137 137 | 2   6789 5678 | 148 136 456 |
| 48  2   6   | 18  3    158  | 9   7   45  |
| 89  137 5   | 689 6789 4    | 18  136 2   |
+-------------+---------------+-------------+
| 6   178 4   | 138 5    178  | 37  2   9   |
| 2   5   17  | 136 167  9    | 367 4   8   |
| 3   9   78  | 468 4678 2    | 67  5   1   |
+-------------+---------------+-------------+

(9-4)r1c5=r1c7-(4=6)r3c9-(6=1)r3c8-(1=8*)r3c6-(8=3)r3c2-(38=9)r3c3-[(9=4*)r3c4 -(9=2)r1c3]-(2=8)r2c3-(8=7)r9c3-(7=6)r9c7-(4*6=8)r9c4-(8=1)r5c4-(18*=5)r5c6-(5=4)r5c9-(4=8)r5c1-(8=9)r6c1-r6c45=r4c5 contradiction => r1c5 <> 9; stte.
