Hello. I just wanted to explain why my conversational style is the way it is and why I stick up diagrams etc. I am always aware of the number of views some of these puzzles are still getting. I remember feeling the way this person (see below) did and hope some of the explanations help.
I got a lot of help from some of the people on here and at Havard's Sudoku Assistenten all those years ago. For some of you, the explanations are obvious (apologies) but I am thinking of those still struggling.

Indeed. The forum seems like a collection of very private discussions between a handful of very high-level players. I don't even see where I would ask a question without feeling foolish.
I just read the posts and bless the posters of the occasional diagrams that let me hazard a guess as to what a fin, pincer, pivot or some such might be.
And when I do actually decipher how to recognize the pattern to which a term refers, and how the logic of its candidate elimination works, I grin broadly and bless you all. |
