I had to use an x-wing on 8s before I could locate and use the xy wing that Earl describes. For me this was a 2-stepper. Did I miss something?

I think you must mean c36 for the 'scraper.

The W-wing with the 46 cells does it. A 4 is pinched in r4c3, and in r6c8. Thereafter, the cleanup solves the puzzle. Whew, quite a challenge for moi.
