But a W-wing unlocks it.

The UR is of no help. A W-wing solves it as does a 4-cell ALS. Smile

w-wing (56 boxes 7,8; strong link on 5 in r7)
or: generalized xy-wing pincers 16,13 connected by (67-73) in row 8

I used the W-wing <18> connected by the strong link on <1> in C2. Causes a pair <17> in R1.

The 26-UR in r49c79 is not entirely useless. It will eliminate both the 2 & 6 from r9c9. Combine that with the 238-MUG in r789c69 which implies that either r9c9 equals 7, or the ALS in r9c67 equals 2&3. Either way, the MUG/ALS tells you that you can eliminate 2 & 3 as candidates from r9c9. Combine the MUG/ALS with the UR deduction and it must be true that r9c9 equals 7 which solves the puzzle.

In Eureka notation, the MUG deduction can be written...

(MUG:238#6)r789c69 (read this as six instances of the values 238 are true in these cells)
||
(6)r789c9 - (ALS:6=2&3)r9c67
||
(7)r9c9

If you don't mind ALS this is easier.

ALS. "#" marks one ALS, "@" marks the other.
Code:
.------------------.------------------.------------------.
| 2    #17    178  | 5     4     9    | 3     6     18   |
| 8-1   9     4    | 2     3     6    | 5     78    178  |
| 3     5     6    | 1     8     7    | 4     2     9    |
:------------------+------------------+------------------:
| 9     3     5    | 8     7     4    | 26    1     26   |
| 168   16    18   | 3     2     5    | 7     9     4    |
| 7     4     2    | 6     9     1    | 8     3     5    |

Yep, that's why I listed the W-wing ahead of ALS in my first post on this topic.
