I found the Times puzzle for September 19 quite unusual. Is it a long slog or a one trick pony?

It was a single pony starring a swordfish. |

I certainly didn't look for a swordfish but, after a long slog, I found another single step route.

A found a xy-wing <234> first and then noticed the swordfish, but did not expect it to be a one trick pony.
