here is a nice one step
Code: | *--------------------------------------------------*
| 7 4 8 | 9 3 1 | 2 5 6 |
| 6 1 9 | 7 5 2 | 4 8 3 |
| 2 3 5 | 6 8 4 | 1 9 7 |
|----------------+----------------+----------------|
| 9 56 2 | 8 14 3 | 56 7 14 |
| 1 8 7 | 24 9 56 | 56 3 24 |
| 4 56 3 | 125 126 7 | 8 12 9 |
|----------------+----------------+----------------|
| 8 7 4 | 12 126 9 | 3 126 5 |
| 3 2 1 | 45 7 56 | 9 46 8 |
| 5 9 6 | 3 124 8 | 7 124 12 |
*--------------------------------------------------*
r8c8=4=r9c8=1=r9c9=2=r5c9=4=r5c4=4=r8c4=4=r8c8=>r8c8=4 |

It seems to me that the deduction in red is incorrect. There are two alternate choices for (1) in [b9]/[r9]. |

It is possible to remove <1> from r7c8 (I won't say how except that it's not a chain). Then, arkietech's loop works via r6c8 rather than r9c9 ... though that's not how I solved it.
Also, shouldn't it be "[r5c4]-4-[r8c4]"? (I find Eureka notation less confusing.) |
