m-wing {6,9} starting in r6c9, eliminates the 6 in r1c9
m-wing {4,8} starting in r7c5, eliminates the 8's in r7c89
with those 8's gone in box 9... we can now form the strong-wing that elimintes the 3 in r4c8 and solves the puzzle.
3's are conjugate in column 9, (to form on side of the rectangle)
8's are conjugate in box 9, (another side)
7's are conjugate in column 8, (third side)
the last 7 shares the cell with a 3 and the 3 can be eliminated from r4c8.
(3)r4c9 = (3-8)r8c9 = (8-7)r9c8 = (7)r4c8; r4c8 <> 3 |

The Type 4 UR on 48 leaves r5c9 as the only remaining 8 in c9. A Hidden UR on 69 eliminates a candidate but has no effect. Then an ER on 6 solves r5c8 = 9 which finishes it. |

I'm not seeing the 48 UR but I do see the ER you mention, if 8 is assumed for r5c9. The only hidden UR I do see is on 89s and it is visible earlier and doesn't help much.

Another coffee for one of us?
I know I need one to sort through Norm's solution. |

My unhelpful Hidden UR was based on the strong link on 6 in column 2 for the 69 UR.
As to the Type 4 on 48, I probably made a mistake or else had a different grid, but I did play it as if there was a strong link on 4 in column 9, thus eliminating the 8s.
I'll take another shot at it. |

And after that 2nd shot, I conclude that I screwed up. |
