this is a head scratcher.
I don't think I saw everything available.

| 2567 26 56 | 8 1 79 | 4 3 259 |
| 2578 28 4 | 3 6 79 | 29 259 1 |
'---------------------'---------------------'---------------------' |
{8}... r3c8 = r3c1 - r1c3 = r4c3; r4c8 <> 8
(8=9)r3c8 - (9)r3c1 = (9)r1c2 - (9=2)r5c2 - (2=6)r8c2 - (6)r8c3 = (6)r4c3 - (6=8)r4c1; r3c1 <> 8
xy-wing {5,6,8} removes 6 from r8c2 |

I agree with Norm that it was difficult to spot a step. It took me five steps to complete the puzzle and each one seem to take a real effort. Quote: | finned x-wing <5>,
finned x-wing <8>,
kite <8>, (which was the hardest of any to find)
xyz-wing <568>,
xy-wing<568>.

My apologies. I didn't realize the difficulty of this puzzle. I should have also warned that an XYZ-Wing was present.

Danny, I don't think you need to apologize for anything, nor warn us about an xyz-wing. It is nice to get a feel for the level of difficulty, but I don't want you to solve the puzzle for me by providing a list of what steps are required. I had a hard time finding the kite in this puzzle, but that was my problem, not yours. Any puzzle that seems to have limited options will always be more time consuming and difficult.
Presently, you are providing most of the activity on this forum and we "all" appreciate it; thanks very much!

I strive to find puzzles that are challenging without being back breaking.
If you enjoy finding solutions for them, then that's thanks enough.
