My first move was an Up/Down skyscraper on 6 in r4c69 with a extended pincer on 6: r8c6 - r8c1 = r2c1 - r1c3 = r1c9; r1c9=6; r23c7<>6
(Danny, after completing the puzzle, I checked your hint and discovered it was about this deletion. Interesting!)
The remainder of my moves were: Quote: | multi-coloring 6,
kite 9,
xy-wing 134,
w-wing 34,
kite 3.

Ted,
Isn't your 2nd step "multicoloring" just another extension on the first step skyscraper? |

Dan, it is a holiday in the US and I have been celebrating, but I do not see how the multi-coloring is a extension of the skyscraper. I see how many of the same cells are involved, but I do not see how to "walk the chain" to make the deletion without the multi-coloring aspect. Please provide details.
