mind if I do a little clean up?
pointing pair of 5's in box 2 col 4, this results in the placement of 5 in r8c5.

Thanks, Norm. Indeed, what you posted is what I had on P&P (I can clearly see the 5 in r8c5 and the pointing pair 2 in r3c23 on my grid).
I was too lazy to copy all PMs so I re-did the solution on my computer on the way to work (and without the newspaper at hand) - missing the last few steps before the crunch point... |
