Interesting one. A UR was apparent before most of the pencil marks were made. A W-Wing with pincer transport was followed by an unhelpful XYZ-Wing. Then another W-Wing, followed by a DP in boxes 789 finished it off. |

(3=8)r2c9 - (8)r5c9 = (8)r5c1 - (8=2)r1c1 - (2=3)r1c4; r1c89 and r2c6 <> 3 |

A grouped fin! (If you'll allow this one-stepper!)
After basics:
Code: | +-------------------+-------------------+-------------------+
| 28@ 459 7 | 23 6 239 |14589# 1348# 138@ |
| 6 49 28 | 5 1 239 | 489 7 3-8 |
| 3 1 59 | 8 4 7 | 569 2 56 |
+-------------------+-------------------+-------------------+
| 9 7 18 | 1236 5 238 | 128 1368 4 |
| 18@ 2 6 | 13 9 4 | 7 5 138@ |
| 5 3 4 | 126 7 28 | 128 168 9 |
+-------------------+-------------------+-------------------+
| 4 8 3 | 7 2 1 | 56 9 56 |
| 12 59 1259 | 49 3 6 | 148 148 7 |
| 7 6 19 | 49 8 5 | 3 14 2 |
+-------------------+-------------------+-------------------+ |
Either the X-wing @ on 8 is true, or one of the cells marked # is true, equal to 8. Either way, R2C9 is not 8, and the puzzle is solved.

Norm, thank you!
Actually, I first found it as a regular finned X-wing after the UR that Marty noted, but I went back for another look.
I suppose it's also a grouped skyscraper?

Never heard that term. When I first learned the Finned X-Wing I was told it could have two fins, so that's how I've always thought of them, still a Finned X-Wing, but with two fins.
I miss a lot of these types of solutions because--for reasons unknown--I hate looking for X-Wings and Skyscrapers, thus I look for them as a last resort after I've exhausted my too-small arsenal. |

While looking for a xy-wing, I found this chain that is similar to the one by Norm.
(3=8)r2c9 - (8=2)r2c3 - (2=8)r1c1 - (8=1)r5c1 - (1=3)r5c4; r5c9<>3
