				| I have added this to my "neat" puzzle collection. A very good puzzle! I found the same solution as Keith. | |

Yes, it is too bad the quality of these Friday Freep puzzles is so variable.

For those who recall a thread from last week, you have here two overlaid W-wings that make a remote pair.

				| I started this puzzle looking for single digit patterns and found two, the second was unusual. (Later I realized neither of these two steps were needed to complete the puzzle.)
Kraken x-wing 8 in r28c13 with Kraken fin in r8c9.
If the x-wing is true then r45c1, r56c3<>8,
 If Kraken find is true then (8)r8c9 - (8)r6c9 = (8)r6c23; r45c1,r5c3<>8,

Next I found a x-wing 3 with two(2) separate fins as noted in the code below.

  	  | Code: | | *--------------------------------------------------------------------* | 35679  3569   4      | 37     1      2      | 8      356    35     |
 | 378    2      378    | 37     6      5      | 9      4      1      |
 |#356  @356    1      | 9      8      4      | 2     @356    7      |
 |----------------------+----------------------+----------------------|
 | 357    1      9      | 6      357    38     | 4      58     2      |
 | 356    4      36     | 2      359    389    | 7      1      568    |
 | 2      568    678    | 4      57     1      | 3      9      56     |
 |----------------------+----------------------+----------------------|
 | 1     @389    2      | 5     *39     7      | 6     @38     4      |
 | 3689   7      368    | 1      4      369    | 5      2      38     |
 | 4      36     5      | 8      2      36     | 1      7      9      |
 *--------------------------------------------------------------------*
 |
The basic x-wing is in r37c28 marked @. The first fin is in r3c1 marked #. A Kraken fin is in r7c5 marked *.

If the x-wing is true then r1c28, r9c2<>3,
If the first fin is true then (3)r3c1 - (3)r1c2,
 If the Kraken fin is true then (3)r7c5 - (3)r9c6 = (3)r9c2; r1c2<>3.

 Thus, all conditions give r1c2<>3.

 To complete the puzzle I used a w-wing 38 in r4c6 & r7c8 with a strong link on 3 in col5.
