Three steps also, but totally different from Dan.
Quote:
NP(68)r48c6=(7)r4c6-r9c6=r9c4-(7=6)r2c4; r3c6<>6,

Flightless xy-wing 4-78 with vertex 48 in r3c6 and pincers in r1c5 and r9c6
(7)r9c6-r4c6=r4c24
.......................||
.......................(7)r4c2; r1c2<>7
.......................||
.......................(7)r4c4-r2c4=r2c3; r1c23<>7
Thus, r1c2<>7

xy-wing 1-67 with vertex 17 in r6c8 and pseudocell 16 in r68c5; r5c5<>6
Plus transport: (6)r8c5-r3c5=r2c4;r5c4<>6

That was well hidden .. ! Nice one.

Grouped Kite(7): (7)r4c2=r4c46-r56c5=r1c5; r1c2<>7

Then I did the same moves as arkietech (though I think I had an xy-wing in there somewhere)

Suspect the kite did the same elimination as your wing

An XY-Wing (786) and X-Wing (4) didn't do much. A Fin Transport (7) opened things up just enough for a W-Wing (67) and a BUG+1. A very enjoyable puzzle.
