Arriba Dan ! (sincere apologies to all Spanish speakers - feel free to correct!)

Looking for extended xy-wings, I found a short, one stepper AIC.
(1=3)r2c5 - (3=9)r8c5 - r46c5 = r4c4 - (9=1)r4c1; r2c1<>1

Mogulmeister, I can't speak to your Spanish phasing, but to your solution I can speak "GREAT FIND"
I just looked at the puzzle again and found a swordfish pattern that made your deletion but, based on my interactions with Wapati on this topic, I believe that you have a Sashimi Swordfish. I understand the convention to be:
"Finned" if the wing pattern is fully populated but also contains extra occurrences,
"Sashimi" if the wing pattern is missing an occurrence in the basic grid but does contain extra occurrences.

Marty,
Your second step was very interesting. In the past, I have not paid further attention to non-productive Remote Pairs; I the future I will follow your lead.

I do not wish to open Pandora's Box on the topic of Sashimi Fish. However, I use ronk's definitions.
Code: | take the fin(s) out:
1. if you have a viable basic fish of the original size -------> Finned Fish
2. if you have a non-viable basic fish of the original size -------> Sashimi Fish
|
If you take the fins out, then a (smaller) X-Wing and a Hidden Single will suffice to produce the elimination. This qualifies as "non-viable"; i.e. Sashimi.

Thanks Danny and thanks Ted.
I must admit that I was more familiar with Ted's definition but i also saw the "breakdown" that Danny described into smaller components.
Sashimi of course is generally served without fins in Japanese restaurants.
