Hi all!
I'm new here and in sudoku game. I play a sudoku puzzle and stuck as shown below. So I need your help and explanation.
Thanks for your attention.
(I'm not familiar with the forum, then maybe I post this in a wrong place. If so, I hope mods correct it for me. Thanks).

Check the location of <6> in column 4. After this, there are two more difficult steps. |

Hi daj95376!
Thanks for your hint but I'm not able to make a step further.
I have only basic skills to play this game. I'm trying to know more techniques but they are not easy to understand and practice.
So could you please tell me the solution clearly? |

The 6 in C4 must lie in B8, so the other unsolved cells in B8 cannot be 6: Code: | +----------------+----------------+----------------+
| 9 6 5 | 348 38 48 | 1 7 2 |
| 3 2 7 | 1 56 56 | 8 4 9 |
| 8 14 14 | 2 7 9 | 3 5 6 |
+----------------+----------------+----------------+
| 4 19 3 | 5 12-89 28c | 7 6 18 |
| 5 8 19 | 7 169 46 | 2 3 14 |
| 6 7 2 | 48 1-8 3 | 5 9 148 |
+----------------+----------------+----------------+
| 7 3 8 | 9 4 1 | 6 2 5 |
| 2 59 69 | 68 58a 7 | 4 1 3 |
| 1 45 46 | 36 235 25b | 9 8 7 |
+----------------+----------------+----------------+ |
abc is an XY-wing: If b is 2, c is 8. If b is 5, a is 8. You can remove 8 from R46C5. Code: | +-------------+-------------+-------------+
| 9 6 5 | 348 38 48 | 1 7 2 |
| 3 2 7 | 1 56 56 | 8 4 9 |
| 8 14 14 | 2 7 9 | 3 5 6 |
+-------------+-------------+-------------+
| 4 19 3 | 5 29 28 | 7 6 18 |
| 5 8 19 | 7 69 46 | 2 3 14 |
| 6 7 2 | 48 1 3 | 5 9 48 |
+-------------+-------------+-------------+
| 7 3 8 | 9 4 1 | 6 2 5 |
| 2 59 69 | 68 58 7 | 4 1 3 |
| 1 45 46 | 36 235 25 | 9 8 7 |
+-------------+-------------+-------------+ | Now, you need a difficult step to finish it off.
I used a BUG+2: Either R1C4 is 8, or R9C5 is 5. Either way, R8C4 cannot be 8, and the puzzle is solved.

Thanks Keith
Finally, I could solve this puzzle without using the trial-error method.
I understand not much about BUG, so I used xy-chain to spot R5C9 cannot be 1.
Here is another very hard puzzle to me. I cannot see a logic way to solve it.
I need your help.
Thanks for your attention.
Best regards. |

Have you considered finding another source for puzzles? I could not find a reasonable solution for your second puzzle. |

jackalvn,
Welcome to this forum!
There are many good puzzles posted here. If you are learning, I suggest you simply start by working the puzzles in "Puzzles by daj". This is an incredible resource.
Also, it is much easier for us to give help if you post the puzzle as text, rather than as an image. And, please always post the original puzzle (and tell us the source) in addition to the partially solved point where you are seeking help.
Best wishes,
Keith |

Hi
It's good for me to know about what you suggest.
I'm learning and there are a lot of stuffs to learn.
The source of my sudoku puzzles comes from Sudoku Deluxe game software. I play it whenever I have free time in my place of work with my friends. I usually play at the intermediate level, only recently xx to the advanced level and met some puzzles that I couldn't solve them reasonably. So I saved them and seeking your help.
Here is the original puzzle of the second puzzle:
I don't know how you create puzzles as text. I mean you create it by word or notepad and paste on here? Could you tell me about this?
Best regards |

hi jackalvn,
so the software lets you save an image,
but won't let you save text ??
well in that case,
yes you'd have to type it yourself
