W-Wing 48 with strong link 4 in row 9 removes the 8's in r5c2 and r3c1 solving the puzzle.

That was my solution, but with different strong links (column 3). Nevertheless, I didn't notice the step that's built into the puzzle solution, although I didn't look for X-Wings.

Here are a couple of other less frequent one steppers............

Type 6 UR68 in r16c56. To prevent the deadly pattern r1c5=4 or r6c6=7. If r6c6=7 then r4c6=3, then r4c4=4 [or as a chain; (7)r6c6 - (7=3)r4c6 - (3=4)r4c4].
Thus the two pincers on (4) in r1c5 and r4c4 delete (4) in r4c5 to complete the puzzle.

Another fun step is a flightless xyz-wing 348 in r3c1
If r3c1=3 then r9c1=4, then r6c1<>4, then r6c3=4, then r13c3<>4
If r3c1=4 then r13c3<>4
If r3c1=8 then r2c2=4, then r13c3<>3
Thus all three implications of the xyz-wing force r13c3<>4 to complete the puzzle

After basics:
Code:

| 348  9    467  | 468  2    5    | 678  367  1    |
+----------------+----------------+----------------+
| 9    2    5    | 34   14   37   | 17   8    6    |
| 6    78   3    | 5    18   9    | 4    17   2    |
| 48   1    47   | 2    68   678  | 3    9    5    |
+----------------+----------------+----------------+
| 7    36   9    | 1    5    368  | 2    4    38   |
| 2    356  1    | 368  7    4    | 68   356  9    |
| 34   3456 8    | 36   9    2    | 16   1356 7    |
+----------------+----------------+----------------+
Either an X-wing on 8 or an XY-wing -478 will solve it in one step. The 3-68 XY-wing is not much use.

One shot solution: xy-wing 478 forces r6c3 = 4 and so on.
